Olympic College values learning and educational achievement. We seek to provide excellent instruction, to enable all students, regardless of their educational past or their chosen program, to increase their knowledge, improve their skills, and achieve their personal, academic and vocational goals.

Strategic Goals

I. Improving Teaching  and Learning Improve the College’s ability to assess  and address student academic needs and goals. 
Provide Teaching/Learning resources for faculty in areas such as technology, outcomes, assessment and other faculty-identified needs.


II. Strengthening  Instructional Programs
Increase the number of students who both transfer and succeed at Baccalaureate Institutions.
Increase the number of students who are prepared to work or who gain additional job skills.
Increase the percentage of basic skill gain of ABE/ESL students through greater student retention.


III. Pursuing and Nurturing Partnerships
Pursue a broad range of partnerships with Educational, Business, Industry, Government and Social Service institutions.


IV.  Pursuing Organizational Improvement
Commit to a yearly assessment and planning process focused on improvement throughout the Institution. 

Investigate and pursue sources of income for the college to offset the limitations of state allocations.
Upgrade College infrastructure, technology and facilities to support Instruction.


V. Embracing Diversity
Encourage expression of diverse perspectives in order to promote a campus climate characterized by openness to learning and appreciation of individual differences.

VI. Improving Service Delivery to Students

Continue on-going efforts to create student service systems that provide accurate information in a timely manner, preparing students to successfully meet their goals.
